Reality sets in

Wow.  It is finally beginning to hit me that my life is going to have a few changes next month.  Jake leaves in 24 days, Nate gets home in 25, and Sarah gets home in 37 days!  Yeah, it is getting real.  Oh my gosh, they are actually coming home! I can count the weeks on one hand (and a finger)!  This is really getting exciting!  I am really dreading the day that Jake leaves.  I've gotten pretty close with him, and I have no idea what it will be like without him here.  Plus, we've already done the MTC drop off two times, and I don't really want to do it again.  Seriously, the missionary and parents get out of the car, get the luggage, and one last REALLY QUICK hug.  Then they are whisked away by the smiling missionaries, and then you don't see them for 18-24 months.  Oh well, I know it is for the Lord, but there is definitely some emotion.  It was weird because for like the week before Nate left, he seemed really depressed, so we were all depressed.  But when Sarah left, I went into her room, and we started jumping up and down in a circle singing, "I'm going on a mission, I'm going on a mission!''  She was so excited, so we were all excited too!  I didn't even cry until ten minutes before she was gone.  I am interested to see what it will be like when Jake leaves.  Ug, if we weren't getting a missionary back the next day, I would not be able to bear it.  Luckily, that is not the case!  So it will be a little easier to bear.  Haha!  We are taking up three Sacrament Meetings in these next months!  Can't wait!
I really do want to go on a mission!  After having missionary siblings and getting to read their amazing letters, it has made me realize what a blessing it is to go.  They have learned so much, and have learned so many things in the past two years, that I really would hate to miss out!  I think everybody should go on missions!

This is a conference talk given by sister Silvia H. Allred.  Enjoy!

Have a spiritual Sunday everybody!
